Working Groups

EPA operates five working groups (WGs) which gather members with an interest in a particular topic. You will find the list of the current WGs below. If you would like more information, please contact epa@europeanparking.eu.

  1. Communications WG: develops EPA communications strategy for implementation in 2026-2027, possibly including new EPA website, new logo, (bi-)monthly newsletter, revamped PTI magazine, etc.

2. Digitalisation & Data WG: increases awareness amongst EPA members of the importance of data (sharing) and National Access Points (NAPs); liaises with the EU-funded NAPCORE project on parking data sharing; develops and maintains the Parking Data Essentials series; promotes and facilitates the uptake of the APDS standard incl. in connected sectors (EV charging, secure cycle parking, Automated Valet Parking) with the relevant stakeholders (EVRF, CIE, EAVP, 5GAA,…), etc.

3. Enforcement WG: builds on the EU regulatory-technical campaigns conducted in 2023-2024 on the topics of Cross-Border Enforcement of parking infringements and the European Parking Card for persons with disabilities; works on relevant aspects such as access to national license plate databases, ANPR camera-based enforcement, UVARs (Urban Vehicle Access Regulations), etc.

4. Electromobility WG: deals with parking-related electromobility issues, including charging infrastructure (cf. EU-level targets as per the EPBD, Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, Art. 14), grid congestion, business models, regulatory impacts etc.; develops and updates the EPA Fire Safety Advice Toolbox; provides input to the EC Sustainable Transport Forum expert group; gathers and exchanges best practices from EPA members.

5. European Women in Parking (E-WiP): aims to empower and connect women in the parking and mobility industry through mentorship, networking, and leadership development; promotes gender equity and inclusion across the sector; provides learning opportunities through webinars and events; celebrates women’s achievements; and supports talent attraction, retention, and career progression.
