Every two years EPA organizes an international congress that highlights parking as an essential component of the urban mobility system and as an essential service in Europe’s cities and municipalities. This flagship event tackles the perspectives and challenges of stationary vehicles and limited urban space in connection with the traffic development in Europe. In the two-day conference program renowned experts from science, politics and the industry deliver presentations about the latest developments in all matters related to parking. The professional exhibition alongside the congress offers an opportunity to the manufacturers, suppliers and others active in this field to promote their products and services. The presentation of the prestigious EPA Awards and many networking opportunities further add to success of this event.
Previous congressional gatherings have been attended by about 500 delegates from 32 different countries around the world.
European Parking Congresses hosted by EPA have taken place in Madrid in 1983, Stockholm in 1986, Amsterdam in 1988, Nice in 1990, Berlin in 1992, Rome in 1994, Budapest in 1996, Barcelona in 1997, Lisbon in 1999, Oslo in 2001, London in 2003, Geneva in 2005, Madrid in 2007, Vienna in 2009, Turin in 2011 Dublin in 2013, Berlin in 2015, Rotterdam in 2017, Malaga in 2019 and Brussels in 2022 (the latter was moved from 2021 due to the pandemic).
Due to EPA’s move from Cologne to Brussels in 2023 and to avoid years where Intertraffic Amsterdam takes place, the EPA Board decided to hold the 21st edition of this prestigious event in 2025, again in Brussels. To emphasize the change of venue and a different format, with even more focus on interactive workshops and networking, it was also decided to temporarily change the denomination from “Congress” to “Conference”.
